French American born and raised in Hauts-de-France an hour away from Paris, Guylaine Simone Gamble grew up in the city of Angels in California in the 1970s a spiritual Mecca for the New Age Movement, and recently relocated to Texas with her family, husband, and two young adults.
Professionally, she has enjoyed wearing many hats, as an elementary teacher and tutor for many years and she shared her love of the writing process with her elementary students who each created, wrote, and illustrated their own books in class! She has a few ideas up her sleeve for children’s books.
Guylaine is the creator of the French A L.A. Carte Blog featuring the French lifestyle and the French culture in the US.
With a love for writing, she started journaling as a teen on a quest for the everlasting search for truth. She got sidetracked in the murky, deceitful waters of the New Age movement and philosophies and after many years of turmoil, this led to the work-in-progress memoir God Always Has Your Back – A Return to Faith based on the hard lessons she learned, inspired by the Bible, the best-selling book of all times. In her world today, God has a capital “G” and the universe has a lowercase “u”.
She felt compelled to write about her journey into the deceitful murky waters of the New Age movement and hopefully reach and inspire people, especially the younger generation, who are searching for answers about their life purpose in this world, disillusioned, and wandering, a road she knows too well that took her so many years to get out of and culminated in a return to faith.
We live in an age where people are spiritually hungry and lost, people are stressed, people want to succeed and make money, people want a quick fix and instant gratification, people crave all the wrong things and there are many predators or wolves out there in sheep’s clothing acting as gurus taking advantage of this epidemic with self-help New-Age techniques.
