Integrity in the Holy bible

Better is a poor man who walks in his integrity than a rich man who is crooked in his ways.” Proverbs 28:6

“The integrity of the upright guides them, but the crookedness of the treacherous destroys them.” Proverbs 11:3

“The righteous who walks in his integrity— blessed are his children after him!” Proverbs 20:7

Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.” Philippians 4:8

To act with integrity is doing the right thing no matter who’s watching. To live with integrity is to live by a code of honor and ethics. It involves the individual’s intentions, words, actions, and conscience in life in general, in business, in relationships with other people but also with one’s self.

A Note on Personal Integrity

Sometimes we say we’re going to do something and we don’t follow up, act on it, or make any progress. Does that constitute a lack of personal integrity? Well, in this case, there may be some stumbling blocks. The first thing to do is to take an honest inventory to identify the obstacles that prevent you from reaching your goal. Could it be a lack of self-discipline? fear? something else?

On that note, it’s best to keep your goals to yourself and not tell others about them (unless they cheer and support you!) because negativity, lack of confidence, and jealousy can sidetrack your best efforts. Once you’ve identified what’s preventing you from moving forward, make consistent efforts, keep going, and don’t ever, ever quit!
